She/They
I believe in the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit and I approach therapy from an integrative perspective that honors this connection. Together, we will explore the patterns, thoughts, relationships and experiences that may be holding you back, allowing you to create positive change and find greater fulfillment in your life.
My therapeutic style is characterized by attunement, compassion, directness and warmth. The therapy room is a space where we address not only personal concerns but also the broader influences shaping your well-being, including social, cultural, and political factors.
I practice from a person-centered lens while also drawing from my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic theory, and systems theory.
While I have experience with a wide range of issues, folx who identify as first-generation, third-culture kids and those from multicultural backgrounds as well as those with histories of trauma are especially drawn to my work. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples in navigating the intricacies of relationships and seek to be more connected in their presence and communication with one another. Being bilingual, I am able to provide support to those who speak Spanish.
Originally from Colombia, I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Smith College. Prior to joining HPHP, I gained valuable experience working in community mental health centers and medical settings. I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds with trauma that have been impacted by systems.
Finding a therapist you connect with can take time. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk about the support you’re looking for and what working together may look like.
