Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#131381)
She/Her/Hers
In a world fixated on productivity, I intend to offer a nurturing sanctuary where you can simply exist. Therapy should wholeheartedly embrace your unique individuality and diversity, moving at the pace of your inner world. Together, we'll curiously delve into the various facets of your being, working harmoniously for your overall well-being, while also embracing the value of simply being who you are in this moment.
During therapy we’ll embark on a journey to understand the roles each part of you has played in your life—how they've protected you and served you along the way. With utmost care and patience, we seek to earn the trust of your internal system, allowing you to step into self-leadership and, ultimately, to lead a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the Internal Family Systems framework, an evidence-based and non-pathologizing modality. I also draw from a range of humanistic, gestalt, somatic, and existential theories, firmly believing that you are the expert on your own life. With a collaborative spirit, I utilize my compassion, intuition, and curiosity to support you in uncovering, exploring, and comprehending your inner world on a profound level.
I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals who may feel different from others. Whether you're navigating anxiety, expending energy to fit in, my neurodiversity-affirming approach fosters exploration, understanding, and empowerment. Adults who have experienced parentification are also drawn to my work. Together, we'll navigate struggles with parental relationships, emotional disconnection experienced in childhood, and finding your voice within these dynamics.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and my Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State Northridge. Prior to joining HPHP, I worked at a non-profit family justice center in the San Fernando Valley where I supported individuals who’d experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, immigration trauma, and other forms of violence. After my traineeship, I worked in the Palmdale area working with LGBTQ+ individuals, teens, young adults, and foster youth.
Outside of my work, you'll likely find me on a run or hike. I'm deeply passionate about it, as I've discovered that body movements and the natural outdoors not only have profound healing effects but also bring me immense joy and fulfillment.
